A lo largo de este itinerario rodearemos la imponente Sierra de Anboto bajo la atenta mirada de Mari. Conduciremos nuestros pasos desde la garganta de Atxarte hacia las ferruginosas aguas del Pol-pol y de aquí a Zabalandi, para descender después hacia el valle de Atxondo por una antigua calzada. Desde Arrazola, por el fondo del valle, seguiremos durante un tramo el trazado del antiguo ferrocarril minero, que luego abandonaremos para desviarnos hacia el paso de Artola, entre las moles calizas de Alluitz y Astxiki.
